Plymouth prepares for 2 powerboat weekends

Finally, after a year without any powerboat racing, Plymouth will this weekend host rounds 3 and 4 (or 2 and 3 in the case of the 225HP series) of the Honda Formula 4 Stoke Championship. Not only that but the following weekend Plymouth will welcome the round Britain powerboat racers who successfully complete the first leg of the race.

Scream Racing 6th after Round 1

Courtesy Of Scream Scream-it.com got off to a great start at the opening rounds of the Honda Formula 4-Stroke Powerboat Championships in Torquay by finishing 6th in the overall championship table at the weekend. Driver Richard George and navigator Nikki Sanders battled through the extremely rough sea conditions and new racing formats introduced by the Formula Four Stroke Association for this season to come 3rd in their initial 10 boat heat and 6th in the second heat of the day propelling them to 6th in the Championship and their best position to date! Severe winds forced the 225 event to be cancelled on the Sunday which meant the standings remained from Saturday.

Problems in opening Honda Round

The first round of the Honda 4 stroke series ran in to problems over the weekend. Due to increased entries a new format was tried bu ultimatly this lead to confusion amongst many teams. This coupled with bad weather took the shine off the start of the season.

Negotiator sits out C1 GP

Local businessman Chris Parsonage appears to have not entered the latest round of the Class 1 World Championships. In addition Windmare racing (who were due to make their debut this weekend) and the wildcard entry White 4 do not show up in the official entrants list either. One team who will make their debut this weekend are Roscioli Hotels Roma.

Maybe Chris is sitting out this weekends race to watch his son Gavin in the Honda 4 Stroke Series. Gavin and Nathan Libby will be defending their 225HP crown as the season gets under way in Torquay this weekend.
